Hello From New Zealand!

Hi my names henry, I'm 23 and a self employed musician, and ive just decided to jump into the world of flamenco!

Any forum members know if there are any luthiers seeking apprentices (anywhere in the world) ? i would LOVE to learn how to build.

Thanks!

Greetings from across the ditch..
You could try Jim Redgate in south Australia..
Mainly a classical luthier but has produced a few fine flamenco guitars..
Enjoy the forum.. The search function is quite a revelation .. So much information..

Welcome!

You have Laurie Williams in NZ.
He builds some fine stuff in his shop separately from his house on a probably beautiful and remote lot.

His main domain seems steel stringed.
His classical do sound very nice though, I pointed to a demo recording of his on the forum weeks ago.
I doubt however whether he has special knowledge with flamenco guitars.
You might ask him yourself though.
E-mail: williams at guitars dot co dot nz

In NZ you would have the privileg of some great soundwoods, though some seem hard to aquire even in the homeland.
