Tonight's report.

Just back this evening from Edinburgh, provided backgroung music at the 'New Club' (Est. 1778) on Princess Street with my friend, a dancer from Seville (Tote Conte) and my big pal Mike Holmes from Newcastle. Some Spanish Air Line Company giving a send off/relocation party for their Edinburgh office, went really well. Mike knows lots of Sevillianas (I don't know any) and that had them dancing. Some Buleria and Tangos with Farruca and Tientos more my style. Tote was told not to dance on the hardwood floor, might get marked! What, a hardwood floor? so she did a sort of sand dance shuffle over the Wilton Carpet, Baile without shoes! anyway, very enjoyable. Mikes Conde negra and my Ramirez blanca totally different sounds both plugged into the same amp and flushed out as one sound, lots of add lib, no rehersal a few nerves and a few mistakes but not to worry, all part of the fun. To be recommended. Cheers Jim.
