It does sound like some stuff from Tangos del Arco Bajo indeed, but I think that he takes it up another notch there... it's a pretty crazy falseta... but what I love about it is that you can really "feel" the tangos in it too, it's not just "shredding por flamenco"!!

Clueless? Not really. Blown away? Absolutely. Once again, Vicente delivers. Great music, incredible technique and musicality. It's one thing to figure his stuff out, it's another to make it sound good, something I don't have the chops for.
I'd rather dream about playing stuff from Paco Seranno's new cd-I actually have a chance to pull some of that off. Vicente....maybe in the next life.
This is from VA's CD? The one guys are saying is not flamenco? That tango is flamenco to me. Great flamenco. Amazing guitarist and musician.

Yep, it's from his new album... i actually like it, it's beautiful music, and there's a Zapateado, a Tangos and a Buleria to keep flamencos happy. Plus Vicente actually sings on Cancion de Laura... he's got a nice voice!
Some of it is actually not that bad to lift (especially those major 2-5-1s Vicente seems to love so much these days)... but as you say, it's one thing to play the notes it's an entirely different thing to sound like him... in another lifetime indeed... well maybe, just another lifetime might not be enough to get there!

I'm not a big fan of the violin part, or at least it not being moved more into the background. Those guitar parts sound great and it would be nice if they were more in the forefront.
