pinks rant

So we play, we chat,we moan, we play, we big it up, we cry , we crave, we play , we advise,we boast, we share, we learn, we teach ,we play, we learn ,we back tread , we ponder, we want, we rant ,we mither,we play.............it really gets us doesn't it?
I've given years to the stringed beast.....its taken years from me this stringed beast! Both right ..... each have elements of pain and joy,good memories,bad moments,people,places and so it goes on.......
I've only recently come to this flamenco game although 30 years of paying on steel string guitars has preceded it. Lots of gigs .....pubs,clubs,theaters and so on, good nights,great nights and also nights when I've felt like ending the pain and learning to crochet instead, but the next day,oh the next day brings back the passion with a vengeance!!
So awesome, so class 'a', perfect drug,ultimate enemy. It pisses all over any other addiction I've ever had that's for sure!

Good rant, Pink! I'm the same, except it's 40 years in my case. I started on Nylon strings, now I've gone back to them - and blues sound really good on my Blanca, haven't touched my other guitars for 6 months

Isn't Flamenco brilliant, I feel it's what guitars were meant to play, and I've wasted 40 years on steel. My Missus hides away in another room when I start to practise, so that's a bonus too!!

Did the same thing recently, though it was a few caipirinhas that dumped me into pool. Now I gotta deal with the expectations of everyone who was there to hear it.
