down tuning a high tension guitar?

I have been using my "mini head stock tuner" by Planet Waves to down tune a beast of a guitar from standard 440 to 430 tuning. Does long term tuning like this in any way compromise the integrity of the guitar? This very high tension guitar now plays fine with no compromise in sound. I use Corum Alliance 500AJ's H.T. which give this guitar mega volume projection, tone, etc. The individual notes seem to jump out of this Brazilian Negra. I have tried lighter gauge strings that did compromise the sound. Anyone else tried this or have any thoughts about it?

You wont be doing any harm to the guitar, but you´ll have problems if you want to play with others.

So you put Corum Alianza HT on a high tension guitar... Then, what doyou expect? That high e string from the alianza HT is extremely tense and hard on both hands and fingers. Yes it sound impressive, but the sound IMHO is not very flamenco. Its very ringy, sustains and very little percussive. Its a string that is typically used to make classical guitars project. But very few classical players can actually play with it.
Its the typical string that makes aguitar sound impressing and makes the player sound worse than he/she is.
The Alianza trebles are also typically used to make a dull sounding guitars sound lively. Its done a lot when a guitar is for sale. When I worked in a shop i changed a lot of nylon trebles to Alianza trebles for that exact reason

Are you serious about asking if 440 to 430 is going to damage your guitar? Maybe I didnt understand the question..

edit: didnt see it had already been answered
