Richard Cogger Blanca (2002) $850!!

Hi everyone, I have for sale a pretty unique Blanca guitar. It is a US handmade guitar by Richard Cogger. It is a copy of a 1979 Ramirez 1aF. I have bought the guitar almost 2 years ago now from Andy Culpepper. (Yes, Luthier Culpepper himself) and I have played the guitar with great joy. I used it for dance classes, rehearsals and shows. It is a very nice guitar, loud and has a nice punch in the sound. It responses very well to the playing. It is loud when you need it to and elegant and delicate when you play softly. I found it a very light guitar, although the neck feels a little heavy and is a bit thicker then I have experienced on some other flamenco guitars. The guitar is pretty beat up (scuffs, nailscratches etc) but does in NO way effect the guitar. It is stucturally sound and there are no cracks or anything major on the guitar. Here are some specs as directly copied from Andy's original posting (when I bought the guitar); "This is a great Flamenco blanca, handmade by Richard Cogger in 2002. It was his second guitar(out of 6 build!). I performed on this guitar for a while before I made my first and it really is totally concert quality. It is a copy of a 1979 Ramirez 1aF. Top: Western Red Cedar Back & Sides: Monterrey Cypress Neck/ fingerboard: Spanish cedar/ebony Scale: 650 mm Nut: 54 mm Finish: French Polish Tuners: Gotoh Bindings, bridge, head veneer: Indian rosewood " The label reads; Richard Cogger Student Luthier Ithaca, NY USA Serial No; 002 F2 Date of construction; February 2002 and label is signed. The guitar will come with a beautiful Esteve Deluxe case. The reason I am selling is simply because I need the cash! I rather would have kept it in my collection, but lately I have stopped using it since my departure of the group I was playing with. On top of that I still have another guitar to play and this way I can get some highly needed cash and hopefully make someone else happy in the process. I am setting the price for $850 plus $50 for shipping, which is more then reasonable. I have bought the guitar for $1000 plus shipping from Andy and it is still in the same condition (except maybe some more scuffs). It is a great price, especially when you consider that most (reasonable) beginner guitars (IE Navarro) are about in this price range and this guitar is definitely a big step up from that. $850 + $50 shipping. (US only!) Here are two links for more info; This 1st is the original thread from 2010 when the guitar was listed; http://www.foroflamenco.com/tm.asp?m=149726&p=1&tmode=1&smode=1 And here is a soundfile from Andy playing a beautiful Rondena on this guitar. (I am using a file of him since he can play better then I ever could!) http://www.foroflamenco.com/tm.asp?m=149729&p=1&tmode=1&smode=1 * @ Andy; If you read this; Thank you for your help in allowing me to use your files and links, and please correct me if I wrote anything wrong here or need to add something. Thanks again!! AGAIN; Be aware that this guitar IS beat up :)....It is definitely used! Has a lot of scuffs and fingernail damage (mainly on the top). The guitar has definitely 'Lived" but is certainly not dead yet :). If you don't care too much about the 'beat up look' then you will have a great guitar for a great value. If you want your guitar to be pristine with no scratches and be a showpiece, this guitar is not for you. I am just pointing this out cause I am selling this guitar as is, so don't come later with "I need my money back cause there are scratches on my guitar'..It ain't happening :)
