Antonio Rey's guitar

Antonio Rey has sold his Reyes. I'm interested to see what he plays next, another Reyes, another Conde?

http://www.flamencoguitarsforsale.net/en/flamenco-guitars/used-flamenco-guitars/manuel-reyes-hijo-1998-en.html

Here he is playing some other guitars (He can also be found on youtube playing some more Andalusian guitars, uploaded a couple of weeks ago)

How could Antonio REY play CONDE????
Anyway, he probably signed an endorsement deal with Andalusian Guitars.

The best and most sincere praise for a guitar is buying it (preferrably unsubsidized) and choosing to play it in several concerts.

Reyes and Conde's are like apples and oranges, very different; I like both but I have to say looking at his older videos his Reyes about 6000 euros to much. The best guitar he had before was a Conde, not sure what happened to that one. Andalus guitar, I'll believe it if he ever actually uses one in anything other then the Prof's infomercials.

Actually, he is using an Andalusian guitar.

I disagree... from your reasoning, I say he plays a Miguel Rodriguez Beneyto guitar..
it's the 3rd video from the top.

Oh man that's depressing...and all 4 vids he don't look happy. I know how he feels, I had to sell my fav conde couple years back because I need money and it was the only instrument I had that could have got the amount I needed. Most players like to think of themselves as modest collectors and it really sucks to have to sell a guitar. Reyes hijo is not the same as padre, but back in the year this was built, I had a student who picked up two. One, the earlier one was far superior to the younger one, I was convinced the dad had a big helping hand in the first hijos on the market. His guitar would have been one of those I bet. (1998). Really sucks he had to let it go, unless of course he just traded it for some fancier instrument, but like I said, it sucks to not always be increasing the collection.

How do we know he sold his Reyes, does he say so in one of the videos?

I agree with what you say about selling guitars, Ricardo - I have had to make some hard decisions myself over the years. There are 2 in particular I really, really regret selling.

We'll see what he tours on stage with, that's the pudding.

There are guys that ring my doorbell wearing hard hats, construction vests, and carrying clipboards; I guess they think it makes them look official. These guys ask to see your gas bill so they can copy the info and sign you up on a contract without your knowledge. For some reason at the 5min mark, Antonio wearing headphones reminded me of them; all official like.

It must be Rubs history that is making me such a pessimist.
