More rules?

I'm wondering if we should encourage new members to contribute to the forum before
being afforded the privilege of posting items for sale. After all we are a community of
enthusiasts, not a site where others can exploit our good intentions and the security
of our members.
Has this been reviewed before?

I keep an eye on it and encourage them to engage with us. If not, I delete them. I have now implemented "Admin approval required" for all posts in the Classifieds section.

I have always been for it and glad to see Escribano is taking measures. On another forum I'm a member of scammers came in only to "sell" and take advantage of the members since there were no rules and anyone could offer up anything. Alot of the scammers were easy to sniff out but a few people got burned and received no instrument or the instrument was not as described at all. It was finally implemented that you had to have X amount of posts and have been a member for at least 2 months before you could post in the classifieds. It took care of a lot of the problems.
