This may seem like a silly question but I have to ask it just to see if I am normal....
How many guitars do you have?
I currently have only one because I haven't been playing all that long but are looking to upgrade and am going to be buying another one soon.....but I don'twant to sell my first one so I will have 2! I am also pretty certain that I will upgrade again down the track or at least also buy a negra so that might make it 3....

I have one good flamenco blanca, one cheap nylonstring cutaway, an Epiphone 175, an Ibanez jazz/rocker, a heavily modified Gibson Melody Maker and a great Alhambra steelstring acoustic.
My advice is buy with care and NEVER sell a guitar you like, even if you change your style of music.

It's not weird, most guitarists I know have more then one. I've got a decent blanca, a cheap nylon cutaway also, a BC Rich, an Ibanez, and an ESP. Haven't really touched anything but the blanca since I got it but I like knowing the other ones are there, they make nice wall art for the time being

Some people have dozens of guitars. Personally i have 5 (including two 12 string guitars) and i would love to buy at least 1 more if only i could afford it (a wonderful Bert Kwakkel 12 string resonance guitar)... no matter how many i would own in future, i would never depart from the old ones.
On top i have a sitar, a bouzouki and a violin (did sell my charango) and excess to lot's of other instruments owned by various members of the family.

6 - a Navarro Concert Blanca, a Classical, Gibson Les Paul, Epiphone Les Paul, Peavey Predator (A US made copy of a Strat), and a Takemine Acoustic from the 70s. I have sold a few guitars and don't regret it. I never played them. I almost exclusively only play the Navarro now, although the Les Paul has some decent hours on it from before my Flamenco days.

Three blancas. A Gerundino that is my treasure, a Manuel Adalid Viviana, and a Vicente Sanchis that was my first flamenco guitar.
Cheers,
Bill

I have one at home, and one on the way.
I'm not a big fan of "collectors" in general, as most of the ones I've met are like trophy hunters who can hardly play. It upsets me because they often drive the prices in the used market and make it difficult for actual musicians to find decent guitars at affordable prices.

Let's see, I have a Culpepper cedar top blanca, a Juan Orozco blanca circa 1970ish and a Seagull Folk steel string. I sold my Amalio Burguet 1F about 3 months ago so I'm down to 3 but I play the Culpepper almost exclusively... Sig--
