Looking forward to exploring the site and learning from you all. To make a long story short I'm "re-dedicating" myself to learning flamenco. About five years ago I began to play and I've just been too inconsistent with my practicing. In fact, I haven't picked up the guitar in a year, and I just really want to start with a clean slate. I have the desire to learn and feel committed to truly learning, and dedicating the time necessary to do so. I guess it's just hard figuring out where to start with so many complicated techniques. Anyways, nice to meet you all.
Welcome aboard, persistence, persaverance, and persparation! If your starting with a clean slate the search function is your best friend, all kinds of great stuff archived. Keep on keepin on!
I'm in San Diego also. I've been playing accompaniment for one of the dance studios around town for a few years and have recently branched out to working with another one. Let me know if you have any questions about what's going on around town!
