introducing

Hi, all. Introducing myself, Carlos Ramon Roman Gutierrez.
I am in San Diego. and just came across this forum while trying to find some flamenco chords. (Thank you Ricardo). Been trying to play Spanish and Flamenco wo much success until I finally learned about the Phrygian mode. Then a whole lot of things fell into place. All those spanish sounds in my head started coming out. I am still trying to learn, but alas, I am only an egg. I have been an afficionado of flamenco since very young, my mother tried to get me to dance it but fell short. I only wanted to play the guitar, but I set limitations for myself and fell prey to them. I have taken those limitations and tossed them. So here I am, trying to learn.
Thank you all.

Welcome Carlos!

I'm also in San Diego and play in a few venues - La Gran Tapa on Fridays and Costa Brava on Sundays. Perhaps we've met, but I don't remember - anyway, come by sometime and say hello.

John (aka Juan Moro)

Welcome Ramon!

granjuanillo is the man around town! Fellow San Diegan here and there's a lot of good flamenco to be had. I play with a student of Juan's on a regular basis. He's top notch!
