It's a great book, part biographical, part historical and part technical, and while it does give some insight into Torres' construction methods it's not a book that will teach you much about the actual techniques of guitar making.

Surely it's got to be worth reading for the details of his various guitars and the changes made. I'm no guitar maker but I've been through it a couple of times and a find more to appreciate each time. One of those books you really should read.
