problem is, i dont want to quit really, i enjoy cigarets (being honest with you and myself)...i am quitting cause of the money it costs. (Flo)
Jeez I feel EXACTLY the same. Smoking is just something any reasonable person needs like water or air.
Jeez the Government here has put a pack of 20 up to about £7.00!
I can't afford it anymore with all this divorce crap....BUT THAT'S WHEN YOU NEED IT MOST!!
I think with all this austerity and everybody going out of business everywhere, the smokers are the only ones keeping this country financed.
The other day I was standing by a Bus Stop...right out in the open air....just a post in the ground with a sign saying "Bus Stop" in the middle of nowhere.
Below it a new sign had been attached saying "No Smoking...This is Prohibited by Law and can result in a maximum penalty of £1000".

lol its like that here too...u cant smoke in public places...even outdoors, like u cant smoke down the mall..
i bet you even if i take my electric cigarette, into some pub...absolutely no harming smoke just odorless vapored water, dosent smell, dosent effect anyone... ...there will still be someone offended by me looking like i am smoking...and the stuff that comes out looks like smoke

Tried to quit but now as I can afford it I don't care about quitting anymore. I think it is okay that it is not allowed to smoke inside public buildings, restaurants, malls and things like that but bus stops? That seems stupid. Seems like the price is pretty crazy as well.
What I think is the most stupid is how being a smoker seems to make other people look at you with those eyes that say "that's a bad person" or when they walk past me on the street and loudly comments on it in a mocking voice.
I like to smoke, it makes me feel good, it is legal and I don't hurt anyone but myself. Those who say that the fumes are bad for the enviroment should probably start looking into their own use of a car and how that hurts the enviroment(plus you have to make roads of asphalt for the cars to drive on).
Society today is so boring and full of ****, one is not supposed to have those small pleasures, or fun and you are only supposed to eat carrots and dry oathmeal and of course you have to have all the new technical gadgets and buy all the upgraded versions to be seen as respectable.
The only fun thing that seems to be allowed nowadays is sex, but even that is boring because it is everywhere and you don't have to work for it these days
I will go and light up some of those coffin nails now.

So...some people stop smoking or dont consider to start smoking because its so expensive.. Well...I didn´t buy even 1 cigarette during my entire life... AND AM I RICH???? NO! So,...guys.. start smoking.

I wish i never started but I still smoke and enjoy it.
I roll my own so that keeps the price down a bit. It's still expensive but probably cheaper than the people who spend $8 per day on flash fancy coffees. I don't drink coffee.
It's Paco's fault. I saw videos of him playing guitar and smoking ciggies when I was a kid

It would appear that after about 7 years of denial i'm finally smoking regularly and buying my own..not a good thing but damn its satisfying..
Rollies are pretty expensive here in New Zealand - $30 for a 30g pack. Not sure how much tailor mades are put i'd say upwards of $15. The government is quickly making them more and more expensive which will result in A) No more smokers, B) Back market tobacco or C) Lots of poorer cancerous old people.

I do not smoke, but smoking appears to be an occupational hazard of flamencos and, historically, has come with the territory. Look at the number who have died of lung cancer: Moraito, Ramon de Algeciras, Camaron de la Isla, El Chocolate, and others. Not to be morbid, but there you are.

everytime you smoke, you are smoking your life away. if it helps, just imagine your life span is flowing away infront of your own eyes within that smoke, maybe that will help you quit and resist that evil enjoyment it gives you

and imagine what happens after, imagine your body decaying and being eaten by worms and maggots in that nailed shut wooden box ..does that help motivate to make the most of your life now ? quit the job u hate, slap the arse of that girl you always looked at from a distance, fart in a busy elevator and instead of saying sorry ...say something like " - that was a good one"
