Inspired by Meister Escribano's photo posts (in the "Off Topic" column), here's one out of my collection of photos taken over the past 40+ years. This is Juan Maya "Marote" doing his "fin de fiesta" paso por bulería. The "star" of the show, Bambino, is doing palmas behind him. Juan's holding his favorite Conde (he had already had it refretted x3). A club in Alicante, fall, 1972. (The image is grainy because it was taken without flash, pushing the film to its limits.)

RE: Photos - Blast from the Past 1 (in reply to Pedoviejo)
Thanks for posting your foto. I also was in Spain in the 70's and am trying to get all of the interesting (to me, anyway) stuff I have on line so it doesn't "disappear" one day. I encourage all who are in the "Anciano's Club" to SHARE THOSE FOTOS!!! Don't take them with you!!! You're remembered for what you share, not what you keep!
