Sanlucar Nunez Seminars 2012

Hello dear forumites!

After a long time away from guitar due to personal issues, I have decided to do something for ME this time.

Going to Sanlucar this year.

Who else will be there?
Any tips & tricks on how to achieve a better experience out of this?
Any info or gossip and opinions on where to stay (hotels & such) is going to be a lot of help!

Was gonna go but decided against it after seeing that nobody from the Foro is going and they still haven't changed to the schedule as to allow taking both the repetition class and the accompaniment class. Going to the Amir John Haddad course instead.

Hiya, I'm going! And I know Mark's going, too (Pimientito, that is).
It's probably going to be great fun, as it always is. Hotel Los Helechos is the best choice, everyone stays there so it's full of flamenco people and it has a pool.. You could try to find a roommate if you need one (you could try the facebook page).
Best thing to do is to arrive on Sunday, so you can be at the welcoming party in Gerardo and Carmen's back yard, on Sunday night, before the classes start on Monday.

So there! Any other questions?
See you there,
Annemarie

I'm going!!! Its lots of fun.

one bit of advice id give is make sure you take some decent audio recording equipment...and test it on day one.

I took a good recorder but had the levels too low so got a really quiet set of audios from first two days.

I may need a third room mate to share with me and Adam from this forum.

but would we be compatible roomys?? haha.
how old are you? what hours do you keep? I like to stay up fairly late and may come staggering home in the early hours so if you are a light sleeper who doesnt like to party maybe it wouldn't work out.

anne marie...what about your friend? he got accommodation plans?

Hiya,

Yeah my friend Julian would still like to share a room (nice easy-going guy, studying at the Rotterdam Conservatory). One year I shared a room with 3 other people, which was really cosy&cheap! So you could also do that.

Now that guitar seminar starts to get REALLY INTERESTING!

What about the VIDEO? Is it allowed or what?
I am really slow at getting things by seeing them once...
I really need video to learn the staff, and tab it afterwards.
