Need help identifying 2 Flamenco songs

I'm very new to the genre and found a couple of songs on my roommate's computer that I absolutely LOVE! I'm trying to find out who performs the songs, because they are obviously mislabeled. He mostly likely got them from an untrustworthy/illegal source, and I would like to find a legal copy, but I don't know what to look for!

The songs were labeled as:

Gipsy Kings - Arabic Dance 6 - from Arabic Dance Mix
Gipsy Kings - Salsa de Noche - from Flamenco Collection STORM

I've had other experts tell me that these songs are not performed by the Gipsy Kings, so I'm kind of lost.

Google shows:

"Alabina & Gipsy Kings - Arabic Dance 6"
"Salsa De Noche - Performed by: Gipsy Kings"

So it looks like they did at least record these songs or maybe the labels are wrong. Why not join the forum and upload the files in our Audio Upload section? Alternatively email them to me and I'll upload them - I have sent you an email.

Note: The Gipsy Kings are not considered "flamenco" by aficionados. They hail from the Catalan area of the South of France and are excellent exponents of the Rumba, a style not included in the cante jondo or "deep song" of flamenco. There are other styles that are in the same boat - like Sevillanas but flamencos play them for the fiesta crowds anyway. The rumba and tangos (not the Argentinian version) are very accessible and are often included on flamenco artists' CDs for wider appeal.

Still, GK have been the route for many into learning more about flamenco and I like them

Salsa de la Noche I think is on their album called "Compas". The other Arabic one I am not sure, they have several Arabic sounding tunes.

Even though they are a rumba band, they have recorded real flamenco stuff, so can technically be considered "flamenco". Their live album contained a Fandango naturales and Tangos, the guitarist recorded a couple "bulerias" solos, and one piece in Rondena tuning similar to "Canastera". Their last album "Somos Gitanos" had a tanguillo. In their video documentary you can see them singing both Siguiriyas (cante jondo) and fandangos. Many of their letras por rumba, are taken (stolen?) directly from traditional flamenco.

They are not really the greatest at flamenco puro, but interms of Rumba, they really are "the Kings". Considering their family heritage comes from Manitas de Plata and Jose Reyes (non flamencos), the next generation took more care in learning about the real flamenco.

Alabina are a Persian? or Israeli group (can't remember which now) but I have one of their rumba albums on which they made a hit rumba of the same name. Like Gypsy Kings, their music is terrific taken in context. They were a product of the great rumba boom that happened 15 years or so ago in Spain and which, with sevillanas, lived quite happily alongside flamenco without ever getting confused.

The popularity of rumbas saw many young flamencos jump on the bandwaggon and music started to fragment and get a little mixed up. Gypsy Kings never claimed to play flamenco and the Reyes tradition of French Gypsy music goes back some fair way. Try to get a listen to GK's version of "El Viento del Arena" it's a fantasic track and my favourite of theirs by miles. You might also like the very Arabic influenced "Alabina" rumba track.

So where could I find a legal copy of Arabic Dance 6? I've heard a partial illegal download, and I would love to purchase the song. Any ideas? Thank you!
