Looks like the type of foam that is used as packing material for some electronic devices.

I use a cellulose sponge which is basically used for kitchen. Just make sure you cut it in half and put the smaller half on.

go to a $.99 OR DOLLAR STORE,You can find packs of 10. enough for several lifetimes and in a rainbow of colors.
