Tomatito Strings by Savarez

I thought Tomatito uses Luthier 20s? Anyone try these yet? http://www.stringsbymail.com/store/savarez-tomatito-t50r-normal-tension-flamenco-full-set-7135.html

It's just Cantiga basses with new Cristal 1 and 2, and Alliance 3. Exactly the combination I happened to be using just before this package came out, without paying extra for the Tomatito picture on the front. They work for me, but I don't know about you.

If you like that combination, then you'll like them, but you can save a little $ by ordering them separately. (This will not make you sound less like Tomatito.)

They will make you sound exactly like Tomatito.

Thats well worth 15 bucks a set.

RE: Tomatito Strings by Savarez (in reply to MSantiago

I tried these strings when they first came out, and even after a few weeks they did not hold tune. I remember a representative saying that this issue had been corrected, but I am sure that first batch did a lot of damage to this line of strings.

I love the packaging and all, but they are a little expensive for me. As Estevan points out, you could always buy the strings seperately to construct the Tomatito pack.

If Tomatito used Tomatito signature strings, he would sound more fusion jazz.

RE: Tomatito Strings by Savarez (in reply to MSantiago

i try those some years pre covid on my cheap camps classical cedar/indian and i hated the sound and tension(hard lol..) , killed completly the sweet mellow sound and old cedar.
after that i tried luthier 20s (i guess) and it was almost the same

Im trying again on this guitar and im enjoying a lot , the price is little cheaper that i would purchase
Sounds and feels great without hot trevles , they re a little cold , works really well on my guitar

Im going to check if its cheaper to purchase each pack separatly

If you want to get the Tomatito cheaper buy the Cantiga creation sets. They are the same with 1st, 2nd nylon, 3rd alliance. If you need even more brightness with addition of more fluorocarbon (alliance) get the evolution set that has 1st nylon, 2nd and 3rd alliance.

Hey there! Bummer about your Flamenco guitar strings wearing out so fast. If you're digging the sound and feel of those Savarez Cantiga Premium strings but need something that lasts a bit longer, you might want to explore other brands or types. Every Flamenco guitarist has their own favorites, so there's definitely something out there for you. Also, a little tip - keeping your strings clean and your guitar in a good spot can really help extend their life. Happy strumming!Flamenco miami

the temperature and humidty here is strange right now , from the transition of winter to spring

last days 2oº max and 11 low.... sometimes 15/17 13low or whatever , and its dificult to maintain an acurate temperature with the heater at night.
so it can be from it...

need to try during the day ...so only saturday i can assure if its wear off or not

Sustain? Can you not see what I am playing, jumping position 4 times in a beat? Anyway, these strings really sing on most guitars, I am using a dry Blanca. Call it “plastic” if you want, but that is what all nylon sounds like.

Here is a negra with same strings and actual sustained notes lol.

RE: Tomatito Strings by Savarez (in reply to Ricardo

guitar is better , the player is better but you also really press to get the sound . Personal taste , youre willing to sacrifice some sustain to have other tone that you enjoy more, and you can do it the guitar is nice (beside factory rosete..) and also the player.

Sorry but i dont agree with what , that all nylon sound the same , those red plastic (dont know if the blacks are the same) are like Squash (or tenis) strings ... i wouldnt be shocked if someone tells me that they are made in same place.

Im really enjoying more Solea , Granainas , Mineras ,Seguriyas
