Jeff Sigurdson Guitars
Hi all, Are there any one who live in the US Northwest region (Seattle, Portland, etc)? If you do, then have you bought guitars from Jeff Sigurdson in Vancouver BC, Canada? and pickup the guitar at his shop personally? Is it better off to purchase the guitar this way? What's your experiences on this reguard? I usually drive to Vancouver BC a couple of times a year and I'm thinking about purchase Jeff's guitars. Thanks for your feedbacks Dave
I live in the Portland area and own a Sigurdson negra. I had Jeff send it to me direct via UPS or FedEx (I can't remember) with no problems. The only thing I had to do was pay $35.00 or so to the shipper to do the customs paperwork. I wasn't charged duty as I have with Spanish guitars.
One thing you should be aware of, (as you may be) is Jeff builds a wide range of flamencos. Most of the stuff that shows up on Ebay is his low-end student models. Mine is one of his top-of-the-line guitars and took almost a year to have him build it.
Actually I'm thinking about selling it. I have a DeVoe negra due soon and I don't think the Sigurdson will get much airtime.
