check these guys out:
This Cayetano Moreno Castro guy is amazing. Thank you!
And again, he was 2nd place! I searched about him and the short blurb mentioned his influences, it did not mention Vicente Amigo but there are at least 2 places where I hear Vicente in that piece.
I am no expert and don't have a broad knowledge of the flamenco artists but these guys seem to just come out of the woodwork, same thing for his blurb, I don't know any of his influences. It just makes me realize how much youtube and internet has a big impact and sometimes promotes people that overall, are not that good compared to others; there are amazing players that don't get much exposure (at least in my world).

Antonio Rey is also in it. He wins the thing.
So he was el numero uno.
Here he is 2 years earlier at the Cordoba festival, apparently also winning this one. It's not surprise, it's a beautiful piece and he play well.
Just got his new CD. Man, it was not for no reason he won. The guy can freakin play. a real artist
He is also a "multitalent". He can play extremely modern stuff and Vicente Amigo style....but also moraito like (with the special feel, rasgueos etc.) , check this out
