Strings by mail ships too fast!
On Saturday I ordered several sets of string from Strings By Mail to be shipped the cheapest method & started to get my guitar ready. I had planned to cut some notches in the bridge behind the saddle so the strings break better, polish the frets & condition the fingerboard & clean & grease the tuners. It wasn't an hour after placing the order that I was notified that the USPS had picked up my package & it was on it's way. Well Monday was a holiday, so I knew the mail would be delayed a bit, so I wasn't in a rush to complete the guitar maintenance. Well, the strings arrived in the mail today, Tuesday, & now I have to get off my ass & finish the guitar. Obviously I am very pleased with the service I received, but not about having to get off my duff. ;)
Cheers, kev

RE: Complaint about strings by mail ... (in reply to bugeyed)
I have ordered significant quantities of guitar strings from SBM over a period of several years and have always been very happy dealing directly with John, and his expert knowledge of string technology.
I have found their quality of service, flexibity and honesty to be outstanding.
I would not hesititate to recommend them to anyone on this forum.
And their prices are significantly better than I can ever find in my local stores in Toronto.
