Sorry to hear of Jansch's passing. His playing had an unmatched grace and beauty.

Yeah...

Was shocked to hear it on the news today...

Jansch was my first true guitar inspiration back in 1966.
The guy just had this..."sound" that no one else came close to.
Very technical, but with a pinch of melancholy...much like a lot of Flamenco.

I'm really glad I met him and shook hands and spoke a bit at the Lemon Tree gig in Aberdeen some years ago and told him that his music had changed the course of my life.

Big surprise , I think i still have a pentangle album lurking around in the dark somewhere and some Jansch on a compliation , contempory guitar sampler, album ,( renbourn was on it as well I remember ) when I was i kid I really liked that stuff , my big brother used to put it on and I would listen to , my brother went on to be a classical guitarist , he would have been influenced a bit by Bert Jansch and people of his ilk.

R.I.P Bert and thanks for all the music .
