I've been mainlining biotin for a while now, and for the first time, I play with MY nails (clear coat to protect), not real hard, but usable...but for years I did everything under the sun...
Still....I'd like to get them much stronger, but most of this stuff is qustionable... I hear good things about 'WitchCraft', out of Canada. Anyone know of that?
I am not familiar with that product, but I will say that I will have nothing to do with that particular establishment which is associated with that web site! The product may be good and I hope someone can give us the facts on its use.
I just posted something about nail strength.
My Dermatologist (who is recognized as one of the best in the United States) recommends 2.5 mg of Biotin daily, to strengthen nails. In the Journal of the American Academy of Dermatology, it states that a 25% increase in nail thickness will be realized in two weeks. They also state that eggs and whole grain will help strengthen nails.
I am not prescribing Biotin but you could talk that over with your doctor for those who are not taking it and are interested.
By the way you might let us know your name as we have so many people with the name "Guest"!
I have it, use it, and there is not a huge difference, I dont know if hardener is the correct description, I think what it does is provide more fluidity which makes the nails stronger in contrast to brittle and dried out = weak and easily torn. Let me put it this way, its ok, but if you are really hard on yr nails or have exceeedingly poor nails it wont provide all the solutions for you. give it a try it doesnt cost that much.
Hey...I couldn't get in before. Finally let me log on...
I found that stuff on the web for as little as $8, but a girl-friend in Canada swears by WitchCraft - which is like $8, too.
Don't know anything about 'finefreeted.com', was just looking around for flamencos for sale, and that was the lead-in on that page...
Everyone here is so helpful, that with a question, I just come here, now.
I did the biotin, and it DID make a huge improvement - like I said, I was quickly playing with my own nails. A first, for me. But still, they kind of come and go in strength. Plus, I surf, so it's hard on nail strength or additives/fakes/wraps, etc...
Wow, This guy knows how to price on his products and service. Watch out!!!!! He's a cheat!!!!
He's offereing a Rafael Quiles Ballester 33 for 3495,- $ !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Quiles guitars sound OK, but the workmanship is very mediocre and so is the quality of the wood.
Last year, when I worked in the Bellido shop, we offered this guitar for 550,- Euros incl. tax but without a case. The guitar is normally priced like an Alhambra 7FC, which this guy sells for 1195,- euros
Just wanted to let you know. I wouldn't even buy my nail kit there. Besides he's offereing: "Tech Support : Consultation on how to buy or sell a guitar or other product outside of my shop is $3.00 per minute. Please have your credit card ready."
I used have loads of probs with my nails, i have very strong finger nails to start with, but doing the rasguados in lots of performances used to wear them down to paper thickness
I used a special nail varnish lol, that acts as a layer to protect the nail it has two coats one is a base coat and the other is a varnish, and in the uk you can buy it in boots for a couple of quid!!
But now i just use olive oil like Juan martin and it does the job, hey they put it on horses hooves in Spain!!!!!
I use this stuff and it has helped me a lot. The stuff was actually quite amazing. I was skeptic at first but my nails are so bad I was willing to try anything. I now use this stuff + biotin which my dermatologist recommended. The other thing my dermatologist recommended is to eat a lot of protein.
