I don't know, Gounaro. What is the benefit or added value? I have always tied the strings on the tie-block the old-fashioned, tried and true way and never had a problem. How is this way better?

Cheers,

Bill

Good grief.
On a guitar with a low saddle you wouldn't have any break angle left but you would be able to keep your bridge all nice and pretty.

I'm picturing it now

Caracafe asks the owner of the guitar with the bridge tie block protector if he can borrow the guitar. Singer starts and Caracafe strums the first chord at 0:16. So far so good although the guitar owner is in a state of panic. At 0:18 Caracafe taps the side. Owner moves around to inspect for damage. At 0:40 owner hears and witnesses big strum and golpe, panic is really setting in, He is sweating and feeling anxious. Ot 1:06 the owner decides he has had enough and takes the guitar and puts it back in the case and goes home. The cool Remate at 1:15 never happens.

i actually have two dents just under the bridge due to string breaks, maybe this couldve prevented those, but an even better idea is what Ramzi showed me the other day, a small piece of golpeador placed there, it's more discrete and probably cheaper too...

You could use heat shrink cable sleeves over the strings, if you wanted this, and dirt cheap.
