I am pretty new to both this forum and playing Flamenco. But I always wanted to have tabs from Carlos Montoya, like his famous Malaguena (which apparently has played with Andres Segovia) or any of his Fandangos.
Can anyone help me please, I have looked everywhere I knew.
My guess would be that you’re out of luck. There were some books of Carlos's music published years ago, but they’re out of print, and even those were in staff notation, not tab.
It's probably dawned on you already that Carlos, although highly regarded by the general public, was not so regarded in the flamenco community; and so few guitarists have tabbed his pieces — even Alain Faucher appears not to have,
It's so sad, because he was a great guitarist in my idea, I love his tremolos! and Fandangos. it's weird that no one has tabbed his pieces! I wish I could do it!
I have actually got that one ,(booklet) it is very very badly transcribed , like I think it was done by a piano player that never took into account 1. sometimes his guitar was tuned lower 2. the use of a capo
its better to get a recording and learn from that i think.....

Very likely; the old Sabicas and Escudero books were that way too.
Yes, you're probably going to have to do it yourself, unless you're rich enough enough to pay someone to do it for you.
There was an early Escudero book with accurate transcriptions by Joe Trotter and Edward Freeman. I bought it in the early 1960s. It went out of print, then it came back into print in the 1980s. I can't find it on the web at the moment, so maybe it's out of print again. Interestingly, the soleá gave Francisco Merenciano as composer, though Escudero was a very able composer himself.
They delivered the new file cabinet today, two nice big side opening legal size drawers in an oak cabinet. Maybe next week I'll start unpacking the sheet music collection...
<hearsay> The Merenciano and other split credits may be due to Spanish copyright law. Juan Serrano told me that the law would only register a full copyright to a member of the Sociedad de Autores; otherwise you had to get a member to go halves with you. And since becoming a member required a music theory test, none of the flamencos could pass.
For the same reason Paco de Lucía’s early credits are split with José Torregrosa. </hearsay>
The Carlos Montoya booklet I have I never really understood , because it has the same song titles as an LP , I downloaded, but some of the tunes have no connection to the manuscript , and others start off very similar but deviate so much that I wonder if I am listening to the same album.
FYI ..I sightread very well as it was my job as a Jazz musician, maybe thats why I dont like TAB ..
Antway I got the book of Montoya ...Flamenco Fire.....from the album ref no. HMV CLP 1177
and I got a recording , but they are seldom the same.the reason I think it was a piano player that transcibed , whatever he did was, one tune is in Ab and it is written in Ab except we understand that he played it using the standard E chord but with a capo on the fourth fret ..and therfore using the open strings as one would, but this was just written in Ab as if there was no capo ....impossible ......it should have been in E maj ..and marked ..capo on 4th...........and many other reasons , but really the 1957 booklet i have is completly useless.....
that is correct , because I can play it (more or less) by transposing as I play ,,, and it sounds not at all like the recording ...leaving aside the bad playing ,,,, i mean far away from it............so nobody did any proof reading ,,,,,,,,,I do not really understand how this was allowed out on the market,,,,,,,,,,, I would be happy to post the music and the recording , if you wanted to have a go .... or I could re-do it into MIDI to hear what was written and in that format can change key at the touch of a mouse......
