My photo of the week 13
Bought a new, old camera this week. A 1956 Rolleiflex 2.8E twin lens reflex, the legendary pin-sharp German street tank. Got it for a third of the market price by scouring the local classifieds and doing some work on it to free up the sticky mechanics. Carl Zeiss optics are famed for 'popping' images into a kind of 3D and this is a good example of that effect, I think.

Very nice picture quality, but imagines like this one, I prefer in color. If it was an old scooter, it would be cool in retro mods black and white. But this one is to modern for that. It makes me think, what color is it?
I also prefer this kind of photos to be sharp on the whole item. An aperture of 11, 16 or higher would do it, but then maybe you´ll need a tripod.

LOL! New week, new camera? I love the pic quality.
If you're interested in expanding your camera collection Simon, I am glad to sent you my EOS 1000f with case etc. Bought it in Thailand many years ago when I felt of a raft with my other camera.

That is very kind of you Kozz, sadly the postage is more than the value of the camera and I don't collect SLRs at the moment, but I really appreciate the thought.

I see what you mean with the 3d-effect. It pops nicely
I like your photo of the week posts! I kept a 3d rendering of the week going for a short while, but got lazy, distracted and challenged by my OCD-tendencies. Hmm.. falseta of the week would be a good habit, though often it takes more than a week for me to fluently play the falsetas I come up with. Presentation is important, to keep the motivation going. Perhaps it can be done!
The trouble with artistic work is that it's so darn difficult to say 'now it's done', and just release it.
