Andres Batista Exercises

Hello all,

I recently posted a thread asking advice for a warm up routine. I was pleasantly surprised to find so many detailed responses containing valuable information which I'm sure gonna use. Thanks to all who took the time and responded.

I have also found four exercises (arprgio, picado, pulgar, & ligado) by Andres Batista that I am more that happy to share with you guys. I think they can be used as warm up exercises as some of you suggested in my last thread. Anyways, I like them, especially the picado one sounds great.

PLEASE note that this is a zipped file containing 4 PDF files, but I decided to change the extension to ".pdf" so that I could upload it in one shot. So all you have to do is to download the file, change the extension to ".zip", and unzip the file. If you have any problems email me. Enjoy!

[I have deleted these files as a reproduction may breach the copyright owned by Persa Flamenca Company. If you own the copyright or have permission to redistribute then my apologies and you may upload them again - Admin]

its good stuff i think but in some kind of code, there are dots where numbers are supposed to be! if someone can translate this to tab im sure all can benefit.

RE: Andres Batista Exercises (in reply to Ramin

The exercises I posted were available to everyone (no restrictions) on Persa Flamenca web site (which no longer exists). I do not believe posting them is a copyright violation. I do apologize for that. So, those of you who did not get them can email me and I'll send it to you directly. I believe Flamenco is all about sharing.

Unfortunately for some, they are in standard notation (i.e, dots instead of numbers!!). But I've tabbed the picado exercise which I mentioned I liked best and I'm uploading it here. I just called it picado so that there won't be any copyright issues! It is in Guitar Pro format. Let me know if you like it. Enjoy!

BTW, I'm sure most of you are aware of "mysongbook.com" site which contains hundreds of great Flamenco and classical pieces which you can download for free. There was another site (duendeflamenco.com) with lots of great flamenco tabs which unfortunately is down now. Does anyone know what happened to it?

Noble sentiments, easily expressed Ramin. It is for the owners of a copyright to agree to the free distribution of their work.

Other web sites may or may not have this agreement. We do not, so to avoid potential problems, I have removed the ability to upload scanned images into the Tabs Section.

Point well taken! I do apologize again and try to be more careful next time. Thanks!
