I am playing this song from the Duquende and Tomatito cd with a singer and another guitarist. They think it's a Bulerias. I understand how they can get the feel of that, but the transitions are not working properly.
I don't actually think it's any palo at all, it's a pop song, and seems to be a sort of triplet 4 time thing, but if anything it seems closest to the feel of Tanguillo, and I think I read somewhere that it was based on the rhythm of Tanguillo. That seems to work for me.
What does anyone else think, is it closer to Bulerias, or Tanguillos, or something else?
Just listening to it for the first time, I definitely see how you can get the feel of bulería - I mean, try doing bulerías palmas, it fits perfectly over a lot of the piece, but then there are transition-y bits that are just more triplet than anything.
Like Jimi said, I'd call it a canción por bulerías.
