I might be the last to find this but I found the above link really interesting, a comprehensive list of palos by region and audio samples.

There's the live internet broadcast of Cordoba final on Saturday 8th may at 2100 (spanish time), link from front page of flamenco-world http://www.bookingflamenco.com/cordoba/cordoba_online.htm

I assume u just follow the same link at the time of tx? I didn't catch the last live tx they did...looks well worth stopping in for anyway

That's a great website. It's nice to hear Eduardo Rebollar, my teacher from Sevilla, and hear Laura Vital, such a wonderful voice!

Wow, yes great website.

I am currently listening to a cracking Bulerias de Jerez, fantastic stuff.

Its called Bulerias De Jerez Tobala, get it from the Bulerias sample page.

That guitarist has some wonderful licks! Singer is great too.
They are not named though

Probably just a couple of kids off the street, eh?

I doubt that. It seems the majority of the tracks have either Pedro Sierra or Eduardo Rebollar on guitar. They are both pros; in fact, Eduardo teaches at the Fundacion Cristina Heeren and is an active accompaniast for the cante. And Pedro Sierra is a monster; I've seen video of him and he's not from the street. I met Laura Vital, one of the singers. So I bet they are all pros, although fringe ones that aren't necessarily famous or anything.

When we were in Sevilla we bought a book at the tourism office near La Catedral.
It has two CD's with many of the examples from the andalusia.org website

You can get it here

It's a beautiful little book with lots of information. 48 examples of palos. Each track begins with the name of the palo before the music starts...
