Paco!!
Paco was awesome tonight!!!! some brutal picados and general all round amazingness if thats a word... Also met up with henry and briefly hung out backstage with duquende et al. we both sneaked a quick pic with paco too but didnt manage to get him to sign my guitar! definatley still worth the cash! although I didnt have to pay so i cant really comment on that!!
i would really enjoy seeing him play, im jelous. Pepe De Lucia is performing at the adelaide guitar festival, but i dont have money to go. Im hoping Florian meets him though, i think he would really enjoy that.
Yeah, it was a real joy to sit and watch Paco. I had a seat about three rows back and it was great to see all the eye contact and nods and winks going on. Real pro's man.
For some reason I thought Paco might be a bit of a Diva but he wasn't at all like that. He sat back like a wise old master giving everyone equal stage.
Great night. Paco was awesome even if not at the top of his game. Would have loved to hear more from Duquende and his brother (they look very different?). From the program: 2nd guitar: Antonio Sanchez Keyboard, harmonica Antonio Serrana Bass, Alain Perez Percussion Israel Escobar Juan Rafael Cortes Santiago Vocals David Maldondo Santiago vocals dancer Antonio Fernandez Montoya cheers, Richard
