My photo of the week 2

I keep coming across deserted petrol/gas stations. This one is in the middle of nowhere in Wiltshire.

I like the idea it's an "olden" station ...
No wonder they cut the price

Eerie shot! I can hear Ry Cooder's music from "Paris, Texas" playing in the background.

Or maybe the opening sequence of one of those creepy psychological films like "Duel", as the camera slowly pans around the deserted landscape...

B&W of course, as any serious art film should be.

i agree with Ron you have a strong eye for timeless scenerys. the black and white factor makes it hardly impossible to locate the date of the shot. it could be a picture of the 60's, 70's, or 80's etc. everyone can buy expensive cameras but not everyone has the feeling to compose within rules of design and aesthetics. the take is worth a half movie! i'm thinking of kubrick or jacques tati.

Wow, I wasn't expecting such a postive reaction and flattering comments, thanks! I have always liked b/w urban decay. Growing up in Reading does that to you
