I've had a streak of maple guitars on my bench over the past year. Are other luthiers noticing increasing interest in maple as a tonewood?
Here's the latest maple blanca with a simple classic rosette. European spruce soundboard. Also, by the way, I've completely updated my website, stop by for a visit (link in signature below)

Peter! I visited Your site, it's cool, but I had problems watching the gallery part. I use Opera as a browser, and could not open a video or foto...the screen just goes grey, and nothing happens. Is it just me or what?

Beno and HemeolaMan,
Thank you for bringing this to my attention. I will have this looked into. It does seem to work fine in Safari, Explorer, firefox... So many browsers out there, and they all seem to have their pluses and minuses. Perhaps a bit like guitars! ;)

Nice presentation! You're really good at the visuals. I bet you do a lot of photography. :-)
I dig the rosette. Very bold look.
I do enjoy photography work. When I was a young kid, I spent countless hours with a camera, as well as basic photo chemicals developing black and white film and printing photos. That was back in the USSR days, when quick photo developing/printing labs pretty much did not exist. You either learned to do the entire process, from film to prints, or went to a photo atelier and had your picture taken for you.

Peter made this beauty for me and i have it (Muwhaaaaa)I have been playing the poop out of it for the last 10 days.It couldn't play more easily ,wants to stay in tune,is LOUD and has lots of subtle overtones. It has Daniel mari green card flamenco strings on it maple isn't the popular wood it used to be going back to Torres. The concentric ring rosette is an antique pattern. The Carpathian spruce top gives it that up to date yet ancient vampire vibe. i love it
