Perfect Strings Combo

I'm trying to search a perfect string combo for better results. I'm not talking about string brands, cause i know that everybody has his opinion. I'm looking aire sound within flamenco techniques (alzapua, picado, rasgueado etc...).

I'm not involving Medium G Treble, cause i think that is too weak (my opinion of course)

I really want to know your preferences...

If someone wants to write what string brands is using is acceptable...

RE: Perfect Strings Combo (in reply to gounaro

I think the terms 'normal' or 'hard' doesn't say much....
The full tension of La Bella 820 goes around 37 kg, while a hannabach is like 40-41 kg, still is called normal tension....but there's huge difference. I really dont think You gonna get reasonable information out of this. You have to experience with that to get to know what works for You and Your guitar/ playing/whatever..

Beno, you're right...

All strings have so many differences each other. I really like Luthier 20 (Basses) and Aquila Alabastro (Trebles), but sometimes i need thicker strings to try some techniques. I realize in picado and alzapua my fingers slip sometimes and picado i'm slower in Normal tension strings, but as i can see from the foro, some people say that in hard tension strings the aire sound is missing.

On the contrary with medium tension strings, many guitars have more flamenco sound

I have tried many string brands and i'm still trying to find the best result for my guitar...

For years of classical playing, I've always stuck to high tension.

Dadario high tension bass
Savarez alliance high tension trebles

for my ear and playing, this combination can't be beat. Savarez bass strings dont come close to dadarios, and dadarios treble sound a bit naff.

ive recently picked up flamenco, and immediately thought high tension would be the only strings worth trying for flamenco... i loved the robustness of highs in classical, and flamenco needs that robustness a thousand times more. I still like this combo but feel it necessary to explore strings again!
