RE: where shall I sit?? <dnace cl... (in reply to Stu)
I always sit in the back, right in the center. The room has a mirror in the front, but also the teacher reminds the dancers not to stand right in front of me so as not to block mirror viewing.

i prefer sitting on diagonally in the front, but they can't hear equally well in the back so the dancers always ask me to sit right in the middle in front of the girls....which is aesthetically very pleasing for me :) but i'd think it's much better to be sitting the way you'll be seeing them while performing...

For me this dosn't matter too much, but usually on the left or right side of the instructor, a bit diagonal, to see her/him from the bach side. Its similar to a position during the performance. But if I'm preparing for a gig, I exactly sit where I'll be sitting on stage during a certain gig. I remember few that went wrong because sitting in a different place than during preparing.

Thanks for your replies. I tried to change position today but it seems impossible due to the class growing in size and me already being settled in!argh
