Fastest "flamenco" feet of...

For the people within us who are mighty in german, just read the article I saw in an online newspaper.

The rest, read further.
There is a guy in west germany who holds the world record of "fast clompings/minute". He can do 15 clomps per second and 884 clomps within a minute. Hes flamenco dancer.. Seems to be serious about that regarding the few words which came from him in this article.
The steps were officially counted and all 884 steps were rated as "flamenco steps".. huh.. not even 1 normal step in between..thats precise man. ^^

That means a tiny victory for a foreign flamenco artist.. hahaha...

I would like to know if any serious flamenco artist in spain ever tryed?.. Or just heard about a world record in that discipline..

The funny thing is..the newspaer-people usually know a ... about everything they write...^^ The call flamenco a "Hochleistungssport" which means... high-power sports? So..we are doing high power sport with our guitars..

mighty in german sounds like big in japan (ie -> nonsense) also clumping means "stampfen/trampeln" (very accurate sometimes!)
Anyway interesting article thanks! (da können sich die Stampfschwestern hoffentlich noch was abgucken...)

When it comes to fast stuff, I've always loved this clip from Carmen Amaya.

Great footwork while sliding around on an uneven wooden thingy, great fingerwork and fistwork hammering the table.

Unreal.

I was reading the rest of the article. His Boss is cool:

Hotel-Chef Ben Lambers, der über den Koch im dritten Ausbildungsjahr schwärmt, hat eine Idee für das Training: „Wir lassen ihn auf dem Herd tanzen und drehen auf.“

carmen amaya is so sped up it is comical. Juan andres maya in real time is just ridiculous fast. I am sure he beats the german guy in both speed and stamina....and dont forget compas which is the point of stomping.
