Double Bass and Guitar

I normally don't like other instruments than Guitar, mixed with Flamenco. Not to speak of Orchestra Flamenco.

But this video really moved me.

Thats what i call a real nice fusion of Flamenco Guitar and an other instrument.

Man, this guy Renaul Garcia Fons can play !!!!

that was pretty spectacular! I really enjoyed it especially the ending. what a cool texture he gets it sounds just like an oud mixed with a qin or koto. SO COOL.

RE: Double Bass and Guitar (in reply to Arash

This reminds me, many years ago my brother who was a double bass player who freelanced with the London orchestras got a gig playing with Paco Pena at the Royal Albert Hall. I think at that time, in the mid eighties, I remember people saying that this was some kind of first for Flamenco. I was at that gig but not really into flamenco music then so don't remember much how it sounded....My brother is sadly no longer alive but in retrospect would have loved to have asked him more about that gig
