Surely you're entitled to the 'limited supply' concessions tickets at £25?
Yeah Sean, but my free bus pass will only take me to the border, then the English will make me pay!
Anyway, I see all the 'best' £50 seats have already gone.. (Bet they're all guitarists!)
EDIT: I see the concert is in association with BBC Radio 3...so it will be broadcast on the BBC Network. There's a good chance that listeners in other countries will be able to get it over the Internet "live" as a stream, but will probably not be stored as a downloadable file. (No sweat if you have a cassette recorder or mp3 recorder plugged into the soundcard though.. ) Will keep y'all posted nearer the time.

Not so sure man, the BBC seem quite protective. I remember someone here on the forum tried to access the BBC iPlayer without success cos he was outside the UK.

I know what you're talking about Sean, but I think that may just apply to "Listen Again" stuff, because on programmes like "Feedback", you hear folk saying stuff like "I'm a Londoner living in California at the moment, and regularly listen to Radio 4 etc (live stream) via my computer..."
The problem with the "Listen Again" function (iPlayer) is the fact that some of the programmes are not made by the BBC, but are "bought in on licence" from independent production companies, who may or may not impose the "UK only repeat" restrictions on the distribution of their work. Also, copyright material such as records or performances may be supplied to the Beeb with certain broadcasting restrictions made by the Artist's management or record label.
In fact some programmes are not even available as "Listen Again" in the UK for these reasons.
Of course, the BBC are also "programme makers" and sell their in house stuff to other broadcasting companies worldwide.

OK...who's getting the 50 quid tickets then?
quite a lot of people already - i just had a look and at least 3/4 of the front stalls are already gone at £50 each.... also the platform and choir behind stage are completely sold out - don't know how much they were as they don't show price once sold.

I just came back from his concert in Brussels. Tickets I got were 70 Euros. Worth every penny. Just Farruco by himself is worth good bucks. And then of course there is Paco. Although I could do without the harmonica and the base player. But ll of them were great. And the singing was out of this world. So spend the money, may be the last chance.

so are you going RON ?
whoever is going has to write an honest objective review of how he found it...he never comes to Australia so this is as close as i get...but i wanna hear one from someone whos not afraid to say he didn't like a particular bit etc...
If you think I'm gonna take 2 days off and travel to London, spend lots of money and and take the chance of getting blown up by Al Qaida or The Real IRA nutters then you gotta be jokin'...
I'll listen to it live on Radio 3...or it may even be streamed on the Internet?

I'll do my best but I'm sure it will be more subjective than objective!
I haven't seen him play for ten years. I was really moved then I'm curious to see my reaction to him now. That recent Jerez concert footage looked promising. I always enjoy Duquende so hopefully he gets a few good spots. I don't like electric bass or harmonica in flamenco so I know that will put me off a little. Other than Gerardo pre-injury, small tablao or intimate settings always do much more for me than theatre performance but I'm looking forward to it.

i just had the chance to watch the whole video.. OMG!! its great. he is a bit like jackyll and mr. hide. compared to previous videos of the show i see a completely different person here, smiling etc. and he is so fluent in this piece, cycling through all keys pretty crazy imo but when he did key changes i thought, people who dont know about guitar will never understand how amazing it is what hes doing. this 2010 bulerias is the best one of him ever i think. its like a collage of his recent works. and plus some new falsetas of course too!
