So Conde's have disappeared?
No it is just everyone believes they are made in VALENCIA not madrid. but you are right their store should be on the list too, just in case they actually DO build any guitars.
just wondering why everyone is always doubting that the conde brothers are really buliding guitars by themselves. this is very easy to find out - just enter their shop ...if you cant because you are not living in madrid maybe it would be better to not do any injustified speculations... :))
they used to have a shop at calle Felipe V and they did build guitars there. i have been there several times and can confirm that...
But now the news: the 2 brothers seperated beginning of this year, Felipe Conde now has a shop very near to the old one at calle Arrieta Nr.4 (http://www.condehermanos.com/es/) and Mariano Conde has a shop at the corner calle de Independencia / calle de Amnistia. You can see him working their just looking through the window....even last sunday...

I was being a bit sarcastic. I am one of the few conde defenders myself, simply cuz I like the guitars very much and own a couple and have played MANY. I too visited the shop, and in spain seeing and playing so many I thought it common knowledge to love those guitars, just like everyone loves a rolex watch or something. Then I came on line and was surprised by all the "hate" years ago...sort of like "there is no such thing as a real rolex....anymore!".
I think it all started years back on the internet when Paco was seen paparazi style using a lester devoe. And so developed this underground anti conde movement. The first thing pointed out is that the sheer number of instruments out there used by pros amatures and collectors, far exceeds what seems "possible" for 2 guys to build by themselves by hand. And all the rest follows....
