oh and some info about this guy:

Fernando Terremoto was the uncle of Manuel. Fernando died very young this year (few months ago).

Manuel was accompanying guitarist of his uncle.

you can see him here in the left side

It's good stuff, but frankly I think they would be outclassed by some of the Brazilian artists I've heard.

I still like my old Flamenco stuff which NOBODY can beat..

cheers,

Ron

Jesus de Rosario too. The idea is Paco above, and Tomatito below I heard. I guess Manuel has not met Tomatito yet.

Actually Jesus has Tomatito above and Paco below
Maybe he prefers Tomatito

I'll report on how he plays for Agujetas. I'm going to be working as half of the back stage crew at the Agujetas (and Manuela ) concerts.

Hey Estebanana,

How was the big event? I really wanted to go but was unable to. I just love Manuel's playing and what a great opportunity to see a living legend like Agujetas.

(and thanks to orsonw for the new clip!).

I really like the seguiriya. So traditional in harmony, so full of innovation.

does that mean you don't like this one?

or that this is the only one of these you liked?

or that you didn't watch them all?!

Hi Mark,

Was that me?

Umm.. to be honest, even I can't quite understand what I was meaning...so there you go..

I must have been in one of my moods.

OK!...I think what I was getting at was that every so often I hear some Flamenco singers flirt with a "Brasiliero" sound to the voice, with the guitarist echoing the same kinda flavour.
Jose Merce has done some nice stuff like that too with Vicente Amigo...but actually I'd prefer listening to a good Samba singer doing that stuff with a good Samba/Bossa player rather than Flamenco artists, who are much better at Flamenco.

As I said...I was probably in a mood at the time..
Of no consequence. Just ignore it.

cheers,

Ron
