It also 'takes time, you know', weeks and months, for your muscles to learn to respond properly when learning flamenco, so as not to strain / damage them.

Yeah exactly, in time you realize that you brain just canot absorb all of things that maestro playing or saying to you so it takes some time to master some falsetas, technical or rhytmical stuff and then you can go farther...

Flybynight, every foreigner is some kind of slow learner... Let´s face it - flamenco is just hard:).

Honestly, I had lots of hours with teachers and result is full HD of falsetas that I cannot play.

In other hand, I have to say that 300e for one month is nice price.
And definitely could be good to have someone who kick you in your ass every day. But in long term study of flamenco? One have to be really rich.

I must admit, I'm going to Spain mostly to hang out with other flamenco guitarists, and watch shows. There are pretty much none here. Although I have no idea whether this is the case, I fear that the Christina Heeren foundation may be a bit too much geared towards tourists than I'd like. Note that this is just an assumption!
I'm moving to Cordoba next year, so I thought I'd go this summer as preparation. I'm sure I'll learn a lot at the foundation, but I think there will be some classes where I won't learn much at all, being as ambitious as I am :P

Ramparts, why don't you send me a PM when you know for sure? I'll wait before renting anything!

2 hours daily classes sound like a very inefficient teaching method.

In best case it's like "let's practice together".
