Flamenco in Madrid

I'm off for a holiday to Berlin and Madrid in just over a week. I'd like to check out some live flamenco whilst in Madrid. Can anyone recommend any good places to go?

Here are a few ideas.

Duende. Madrid's best peña:

Sala Juglar. Very good venue:

Candelas. A bar to hang out, to be seen, and to feel cool (and when you feel cool you look cool):

La Soleá. Depends on who's there and what you're looking for.

There are also a lot of concerts coming up, if you're there at the right time:

Well I got back from Madrid on Sunday. Had a cracking time there, helped having a friend who is living out there teaching English. The locals were spared the task of deciphering my phrasebook Spanish.

I saw a decent show at a tablao called Las Tablas from a table right next to the stage. The bailaor and one of the cantaors were particularly mesmerising.

One fun part of the trip was playing very badly to an appreciative crowd on a truly terrible guitar when I got back to my hostel at 3am after visiting a few bars with my friend. The guy running the hostel encouraged me to play some more flamenco before I got my flight home, but the other patrons just wanted to sing along to Wonderwall.

I didn't really see much Flamenco whilst there, because there was simply so much else to see and do, but what I did see definitely makes me want to head out to Andalucia on my next trip away to see a lot more.
