My friend has organized some ethno music concerts in recent years and is getting more and more interested in organizing also some flamenco events in our town. I’m trying to help him find out some agencies, phone numbers and mails addresses. Simply by looking on the net we fount sites like www.macande.com and www.distritoflamenco.com. If anybody out there can provide some more agencies’ addresses and information regarding this subject we would be very thankful.

RE: Organizing flamenco concert (in reply to stermecki)
Simon's right. I work directly with professional flamenco artists and could certainly give you ideas for costs etc. I recently heard of a Spanish agent asking 40,000 euros for a 15 minute recital. Still trying to find out what artist they were proposing should be paid this much but sure as eggs is eggs the artist wont know he is getting, and wont actually get, anywhere near that amount. Unfortunately the lady who is booking the conference seems to have signed a contract with the promoter that she has since discovered she cannot get out of.
Hmmm back to CNN, the world is watching America tonight. Just heard they've cancelled all the tablao shows tonight due to lack of interest.
Later we'll be going to see Jorge Prado and Ruben Dantes play. They also just agreed to play with Emilio for his show at the Festival de Otoña in Granada, so we better go buy them a drink.
