No particular reason for alternating dark and light glue blocks. Just having fun, why not?

I tried something new for me, using mastic to hold the boxwood/veneer pieces in the field of burnt umber mixed with hide glue. I ruined one to by trying to bind the clay pigment with epoxy, but for some reason, the stuff reacted strangely with the clay, and the epoxy never hardened. I ended-up braking and burning the top in the wood stove.

Damn! It's really gorgeous. I love your "fret marker" knot there at the 7th fret. And the rosette is great.

One question: why the two braces above the lower harmonic bar? I've only seen braces up there on an open-bar Jeffrey Elliot type system.

Fantastic photo gallery on your website, Peter, I loved the angles and details you captured. Your guitars are truly exquisite. Interesting choice of woods for the fretboards, including “maple" (?) and those ruby rosewoods, along with many other elements. The rosette on this guitar is also a masterpiece.

I am quite impressed by such, until now unknown to me, remarkable exhibition of artistic talent.

Peter, beautiful blanca - really like your very artistic use of woods and details. Reminds me of your all maple blanca from last year.

What bracing are you using? And is that a Rosewood or Pau Ferro fingerboard?

After a week of Alhambra guitar postings (argh), this is a much welcomed subject that reaffirms the great stuff members can share here.

Thanks again.

I have played several of Peter's guitars and I can say they play as well as they look. Anyone wanting my views on his guitars can PM me.
