Welcome to one of the most active flamenco sites on the Internet. Guests can read most posts but if you want to participate click here to register.
This site is dedicated to the memory of Paco de Lucía, Ron Mitchell, Guy Williams, Linda Elvira, Philip John Lee, Craig Eros, Ben Woods, David Serva and Tom Blackshear who went ahead of us.
We receive 12,200 visitors a month from 200 countries and 1.7 million page impressions a year. To advertise on this site please contact us.
So we are just a little over three weeks away. May we have some volunteer judges? You should be prepared to review the uploads and respond within 3 days of the uploaded entries i.e. by midnight Greenwich Mean Time February 3.
We are beginners, so we need the most help! But also, we will be the easiest to judge...
And no, this is not a job for a monkey!

RE: Beginners Challenge Call for Judges (in reply to cathulu)
do you have someone who will the handle the mp3s and post them up? if not, i'd like to volunteer. if you already have someone and you're short on judges, then i can be a judge if you'd like.

Thank you Edguerin and Anthony! We are very glad to have you guys on board!
Anthony, I would really like you to be a judge and get your feedback for all the competitors, and Kozz will handle the entries as he said he would. But if Kozz can't come through then perhaps you can be the back-up...
More judges to follow... off to bed for me now. Cheers everyone!

Thank You everyone!
Yes, you are all judges and I am so looking forward to your comments on this challenge. Without your involvement this would be a sorry challenge indeed. This place is fantastic.
And this thread has given me a good belly laugh with the monkey pictures and funny comments.
I know also that Todd will judge also, and perhaps Jason if he is not too busy, and perhaps Ron also so I am looking forward to perhaps a couple more monkey pictures. I think this just about ties things up on the judging front.
Also, Jason has very kindly offered a 3 month prize on his flamenco lesson website. Jason, I cannot thank you enough for your very kind generosity!

Any further updates will be in the first post of the beginners challenge thread - I will keep that updated to the latest information. Please go to the beginners challenge thread if you have any further questions or concerns. Thanks everyone!

Judges, the time for judging the challenge is soon coming to a close! So, put down your bananas and quit monkeying around! Do I have to go APE???
Your comments and judging scores are very much appreciated and are what make the challenge a complete success. Without you, there is no challenge. Thank you very much in advance and thanks to those that have already completed your judging.

Hi Judges, time is running out - it is February 4 at 01:00 hours. If you are reading this and haven't yet submitted your judging scores, there is less than 24 hours to submit.
Deadline is February 4 - 24:00 hours london time. Does anybody read this???
I hate being a nanny. Apologies if that is the way I am coming across. I am just enthusiastic!!
Cheers and thanks in advance to everyone! This has been a great challenge so far!
