One day come Spring, I might get back to playing. Most of my Flamenco has been played on a classical, but I did buy myself a flamenco guitar (well-used) about 6 years ago from a professional guitarist in London - he was replacing it with something hugely expensive and needed contributions. I don't know anything about different makes etc., but although it's a bit knocked, it sounds and feels OK to me. The label says:

Manuel Ortega Sousa
Constructor
Cardenal Cervantes 6
Sevilla 18 de Enero 1967.

Anyone heard of this guy?
Val

no but seams like he was the teacher of these 2 luthiers:

Andres Dominguez Guerrero
J. A. Pantoja Martín

and he died 1991.

thats mentioned on homepage of zavaletas and acousticguitar forum.

so, could be that you might have a great and expensive guitar there !

here is a part from an interview with Andres Dominguez, which i could find, but my spanish is horrible, but seams like he is speaking about his teacher Manuel Ortega Sousa here and that he (Manuel Ortega Sousa) was a student of Santos Hernandez ?
