Alberto Velez

Last year I came across a website from a guy who had some free Alberto Velez mp3 he played.
I didn't pay much attention to the name Alberto Velez because it didn't mean anything to me at that moment.

2 weeks ago I'd received the 3 books from Manalo Sanlucars' "Mundo y Formas de la Guitarra Flamenca" and on the second books there was a Granaina tribute, called Brindis Para Alberto Velez, which I liked also.

Yesterday I went to the library and found a book with transcriptions from Oscar Herrero called "Alberto Velez -Memoria de la guitarra flamenca".

Apart from what is in the Oscar Herrero book there isn't much information I could find, not even his name is mentioned here on the forum once, whilst he has played with the great amongst us.

Does anybody know where I can find more about Alberto Velez, or maybe could tell me a bit more about him. For what I have heard so far I liked what he did.

He played with many famous players like Niño Ricardo, Manuel Escudero. you can also see him in some of the old Marisol movies.I had a buleria of him in my youtube-favourites but unfortunately it was deleted because of copyright( don`t understand because it was from the 50ies).
