Simon says "Hola"

I just spoke with Simon who asked me to say hi to everyone and to let you know he's having a great time. He'll be posting his experiences when he gets back. He's been taking his guitar around with him and sounds like its the way to make friends and only pay local prices for your drinks and tapas. We'll be meeting up in Granada next week. I've also got another visitor next week who I am looking forward to meeting, Robin Totten, if last nights phone call was anything to go by we'll be talking non-stop until the early hours swopping flamenco stories and experiences. Perhps i should have opened a flamenco guest house

Kate open an unofficial guest house. Give Robin a hug he's an old man and he'll enjoy it. Don't give Simon a hug he's an old man and he'll enjoy it (im in trouble aren't i?)

He he he, well last night I was just saying goodbye to Emilio on the doorstep when I was approached by old man asking for "Vuman" and holding a map. Thinking he wanted directions I asked if he spoke Spanish and he said "Vuman" again so I asked if he spoke English at which point he said "Vuman. Sex" !!!!!! Hemust have thought Emilio was my last client

I guess that's not what you meant when you said unofficial guest house :)

Its good when they offer money up front though.

Only joking, that hasn't happened for ages!

In Granada you dont even buy drinks with money up front. Maybe its the only profession that gets paid before they do anything.

Hi Kate, was sitting on messenger in the office.

Melchor and I had been sitting outside one of the bars near to the Gallo Azul during the festival and I had to run off in a hurry and get my tickets for that night (thus ridding myself of responsibility for the bill, and Melchor generously said he would settle it). Later on we went back and Melchor realised he'd forgotton to pay. He's got used to English paying up front already! We owned up though.

Ha ha when I'm back in England in a bar I stand there looking at the barstaff waiting for the tapa and the barstaff stand there waiting for me to pay.

I was told a sory of 3 Spanish women who went to an English pub and sat at a table waiting for the waiter, when one didn't come they walked up to the bar where they saw a sign that read "We dont serve travellers" so the women walked out. Hmmm well it sounded funnier in Spanish,
