Kubase, Personally I don't believe in "mindless" practise. I don't think you get muscle memory or anything from it. Only alert practise, listening to everything...tone, rhythm, note formation, phrasing etc has any value IMO. Practising like Anders says, with a sponge under the strings is good for some things, but only to keep the noise level down to avoid disturbing others. You've always got to concentrate IMO. cheers, Ron
