Awaiting Henry's and other's views on this obvious "handball" French victory!
As a commentater said... "This is 2009, NOT 1986...technology has moved on..We can't have a guy 50 yards away making a decision on a hard to see, split second action and his word is Law, regardless of what the TV cameras, hence everybody saw....Especially when the stakes are so high."

i was at cano's gig in dublin last night and did not watch the match, watched it on youtube and was sicked by what i saw, the ref was either blind, dumb or taking a backhander from french supporter's
two of em were off side and thierry "ass patted" the ball down, it's a disgrace to the game of football.

these things happen quite often, but when you're on the wrong end of such decisions and especially when the match is so important it hurts much more... Thierry acted instinctively and is not a cheat, i can't blame him, the ref is definitely blind (his assistant even more so as he should've positioned better to see the incident)... i feel sorry for the irish, and while i'm happy for the french because they have quality individuals, i wouldn't have felt too bad for them if they went out having an idiot for national coach... introducing technology for the most important matches would be a good idea...but replaying the match as the irish FA proposed, a big no in my opinion...that would cause chaos...

The French should gentlemanly offer Ireland an off-schedule “friendly” game, and if they lose then forfeit and withdraw from the cup.
A gentlemanly and sportsmanship thing to do gj, but there is so much money tied up in football now that the club owners and directors would oppose it I think.
I'm sure the player and possibly even the team feel a bit bad about it as it looked clearly an accident, but they are paid to play and not get involved in club business.

he is a cheat and did not admit it when questioned by the ref, he knew he did it and wanted to get away with it.
i am happy to say the "THE FRENCH CHEATED THEIR WAY TO SOUTH AFRICA"
