I saw him play near Boston last winter. It was an incredible performance to say the least. Some songs would get a bit on the fast side as far as tempo, but despite this there was really no sense that he was sacrificing expressiveness for speed ... somehow he was able to accommodate both at once. I spoke with a gentleman there who had come down to visit from Canada in order to take some lessons with Grisha. He had spent a number of hours the day before developing technique as well as having his nails filed accordingly. He was very enthusiastic about the experience, citing Grisha's patience as a teacher especially. I intended to drive back out to Boston last spring to take a lesson or two myself, but never quite made the time. I think that now I will certainly =]
While we are on the topic... Todd i did not forget my prize I am currently happy as a kid and looking for a cam to take skype lessons with it. Open to recommendations for this as i want to buy something decent this time (bought a crap-cam years ago...)
*SHOCK!!* LOL.... MAN! Im on the way to delete all the **** I wrote .... and you cite it before Im done..... !
I plotted my forum-behaviour over the last 3 years and analyzed it a bit... I found out that I act gayish every 4th month for around a week. So.. regarding to my calculations its over right now and Im realyzing step by step that I made an unmature joke.
To clarify something. I respect you Todd. But isn´t it actually more gay to take a tiny joke so serious and mimic the grown up? To be honest.. to ask such a question to somebody who is new to the foro is hard..
So lets come back to the questions of the thread and let aside hacking on gays. They are normal people and its not correct to laugh about!
Well,.. I think his questions are answered with giving him the address of Grishas homepage. He can just contact him and ask for guitar-lessons ...... ... .. or anything else.
If you mix the words "gay" and "grisha" phonetically, it gets "gay-sha", or "geisha", which is the opposite of gay. Pure irony. And maybe the oppisite of Grisha, i dont know.
